Art

Mission Statement

My mission is to provide inspiration to students by encouraging individual expression and enabling them to reach their creative potential. I will enrich students’ lives with the exploration of art and art history. The skills learned in my class will improve concepts learned in other disciplines, while building an artistic foundation with a range of experiences with different media. Students will gain confidence and motivation to independently create artwork in my class and in the future.

Artsonia

The artwork of Malcolm students is published on Artsonia, the world’s largest online kid’s art museum.

Visitors can browse the artwork in the school gallery by grade level, or by specific exhibits.  Select artwork from the school year is available for viewing now, and more artwork will be published as this year goes on.  So keep checking back!

All of Artsonia’s one million pieces of artwork are viewable online, and any teacher or parent can create an online art gallery for their child or school. Artsonia provides several online features such as fan clubs and personal guestbooks, as a way for families to encourage the creativity and imaginations of their young artists. In addition, family members can purchase keepsakes imprinted with the child’s artwork, with Artsonia donating 20 percent of their annual product revenue back to Malcolm’s art program.
